Travel to Linköping
The city Linköping is situated in southern Sweden, 200 kilometers south of Stockholm.
Linköping University is located about 3 kilometers from the city center.
By air it's just under two hours with KLM from Amsterdam International Airport to Linköping City Airport. There are two local airports - one in Linköping and one in Norrköping - with regular flight connections to domestic and international destinations.
There are two daily connections by KLM from Amsterdam to Linköping City Airport. Taxi from the airport to Linköping city center; about 10 minutes.
Those arriving at Norrköping International Airport can continue to Linköping by taxi. The taxi fee from Norrköping International Airport to Linköping is approximately 800 SEK one-way. When planning to leave Linköping make sure that you book an airport taxi to Norrköping Airport in advance, through a travel agency. In that way you can get a reduced fee.
For those travelling from Japan or China flying Finnair to Helsinki with countinuation, Norrköping Airport is sometimes a good choice.
It is also possible to continue to Linköping by commuter bus or train, but in that case you must first take a taxi to downtown Norrköping (5 kilometers). Commuter bus 49 will take you to Linköping. Trains also run regularly.
It is also possible to travel by air (e g Ryanair) to the "Stockholm/Skavsta Airport" which is only 100 km from Linköping. There is a regular bus connection from the airport to Linköping, approx 1,5-2 hours, 150:-SEK. The fastest connection from the airport to Linköping is by taxi, approx 1 hour, 1.200 - 1.400 SEK, cheaper if several persons share. The cheapest alternative for those arriving at Linköping Airport is to take a taxi downtown to "Resecentrum" and from there continue by bus to final destination.
Another alternative is to fly to Stockholm/Arlanda Airport and continue the journey by train to Linköping.

Copenhagen, Linköping can be reached by train in 3 hours. From Stockholm/Arlanda in 2-2.5 hours.
There are regular bus connections from the railway station to the university campus. Please observe that a special prepaid card is necessary when using regular bus connections. The card can be purchased at "Pressbyrån" and at the office of "Östgötatrafiken" at the railway station.
